Okay so "your buddy" broke the bolt. How come "your buddy" is the only instance ive ever heard of the bolt breaking. Even if this is true, he obviously had something set up wrong, or maybe even loose.

I HAVE the iro long arms, ive NEVER had an issue. Ive even looked at said bolt checking for wear or damage. And guess what, still looks brand new.

just because you have zero personal experience with something, and you dislike the design doesn't mean anything. Doesn't mean its bad, or junk.

Ill continue to slide my arms down rock ledges, lift my front end when im feelin frisky, get jammed up in between rocks, and then drive my xj home at 80+ mph with zero worries

Ive broken my fair share of 10mm bolts in my front end.

Thats why i don't run 10mm bolts lol.

Stock had 2 10mm upper control arm bolts. Why take one of them away when you beat on your jeep harder and run tires that put more stress on suspension components?

It may be acceptable for some people, not for everyone though.

I do understand where your coming from. And i thought the same thing. I just dont stress about it anymore because the lift has proven itself to me time and time again.

At an orv park in east texas, i saw a guy who fabbed up another upper link on the pass. Side of his iro arms. Solid with a solid bushing. Made his suspension bind alot worse than mine. I think iro did it that way for a reason, and it works great

Not as scary as that long arm design.

It would bind so bad because what they call the "iron y" is one solid piece. Other radius arm setups have the upper arms connected to the lowers via a bushing or joint. This allows much more movement.

Default The iro 5.5 la transformation....

Got the lift all installed. Took 2 nights. Very happy with the kit. Worst part of the whole thing was disassembly. Comfort level is great! Now to keep upgrading part by part....

Looks awesome man. Steering needs to be dealt with next. The stock steering does not allow for much travel, and will not hold up to the larger tires in the long run

Rc claims there bushing are fixed, if I was buying a full kit again, I would buy parts from different places. 4.5 rc up front coils, sway bar discos, trackbar, and long arms. Rear would be re 3.5 springs and sliders giveing ~4.5 rear. Blistines shocks all around, shim it and drop a sye in and have fun
Steering would be up to you I would flip the tie rod on top of the knuckles, extra ~3" protection for it and I think all you need is a reamer? Idk I'm just saying

I definitely wouldn't buy all that from rough country. I have been fighting issues with rough country "updated" parts on.my grand Cherokee it is insane. Shackle relocation kit and aal is about the only thing worth having from rc. And to top it off their shocks and springs are way too soft, its like driving q tub of jello that death wobbles.

I left shocks out for that reason and I've never had a problem with rc except for the leafs
