Default ARB bull bar and winch removal

Does anyone know of you can remove a Warn M8000 winch from an ARB bull bar with out removing the bumper from the XJ?

Pretty sure you have to pull the bumper.
Not 100%...but I believe my buddy had that issue with the same setup

Not sure about the XJ. If it's anything like ARB's other bumpers, then yes. A friend of mine bought an '85 4Runner with a warn winch in an ARB bumper. The stupid PO had an exo-cage welded to it and quite obviously wrapped the wire rope around anchor points and put the hook on the line multiple times. Toyota owners...

Well I was able to remove it - the po had cut notches that I always wondered what they were for...


Now just to fix it up and mount it on my other jeep, after I figure out what bumper to get.
