Well I know one day I'm going to lock up the front and rear. That day being when I get the cash
... However in the mean time I've been looking at all the different setups. I've narrowed it down to an ARB air locker or the Ox locker. I like these because they can be engaged and then disengaged, mainly because my xj is a daily driver. I want your opinion, both are about the same as far as price. But one use's air, the other use's a cable. Positive's, negative's, thanks guys.

My vote goes to ARB.
The ox cable is more difficult to set up, IMO. On top of that ... every time you remove the cover (drain fluid, check seal, etc) you have to re-set the shifter. Some people have reported difficulty routing the cable as well.
The ARB has some leak potential. But in the hands of a capable installer .... those risks should be minimized. A leak means open diff. A cable that is not working could leave you "between modes" and could cause greater wear.
Another side bonus would be the fact that you can get yourself somekind of OBA for filling the tires too.

I have ARBs and i am with Joe on this. There are some advantages to both. Selectable allowing good street manners and advantages of lockers on the trail.
Both have a disadvantage. ARBs, you have to protect the air line. Loose it and you loose your lockers. OX, a really long cable and where to you run it and where do you put the handle. The ARB is easiest to use of the two.

first time i saw ox had a daily driver friendly locker i was gonna purchase it but after the cons compared to the arb ill take my chances puncturing the air line rather than snapping the cable and fudging my diff up.

So if they are both around the same price, but with the ARB u also get an OBA system then its the clear choice! I've heard nothing but good about the e-locker exept the high $price tag$!

I agree with everything said above. Both have their pros and cons. With arb you got OBA, but I heard there can be issues with air or pressure lose within the diff or something like that and you have to do regualr maintance (which isnt a bad thing). The Ox locker seemed simplier to me. pull the lever and bam there ya go. Has anyone heard of issues with the cable breaking?
Zeppfan3 said, "ox isnt limited to just cable you can choose between cable electronic or air". I havent seen or heard this before. Is this true?
