Wow guys nice I can't wait to do this. I going to do a write up on cutting out and installing flush mounted lights in the rear bumper try and do that this week and then I'm moving on to the over head lights. So this may be a stupid question but what is the point of running the dual batteries. I get upgrading the alternator for the power supply and I know if you wire the batteries in parallel your amperage goes up. So is it just that a battery can only handle so many amps passing through it?

Once you pull the reserve capacity rated on the battery is when your alt ups its charge rate. Dual batteries allow you to use more battery power without voltage drop therefore less strain in ur alt. But always be careful to have good batteries because if they dont take a charge well then they will burn out ur alt. My setup is a custom 220a alt charging a yellow top dual post optima with a 1awg pure copper big 3 upgrade. Also if you add an extra battery i highly recommend a big 3 upgrade because your total power output is only as strong as your chassis ground which is only like an 8awg. Otherwise things will burn out. After my upgrades i have zero voltage drop even with radio way up lights on and heat blasting. (2400w rms for the music)

For me, the mounting on the roof would be easy! The pain is running the wires so they look clean and not an after thought!

Yah I am looking into trying to run the harness in the cleanest way possible.

I am not sure how old this thread is.....
I am curious if you have had any issues with the back up lights (going through the BU light switch)? I don't know what sort of amperage the switch is good for and where it cost over $200 I am not so keen on killing quickly.

Use the BU switch to fire a relay for your bumper mounted lights .

That is what I was thinking....just too lazy to run power wire front to back. It is the wiser choice however.
