When I did mine, I changed the trans mount out while I was down there. Thats when I found out that there are 2 different type trans mounts, 4 bolts offset to one side and one that had the 4 bolts "centered".

Well it wasn't my jeep so I don't know which it had. From all the ones I have seen there has only been one type.

i have their 5.5" LA and its awesome. but I can only compare it to rough country since that's the only other brand I've used. and its 10 times better than that junk. There's probably 4 guys in my group have IRO long arms and we all love them. But I think I was one of the only ones that had some sort of problem with a few bolts not lining up but that's how its going to be with the majority of the lift companies. I got it to work no problem and that's all that matters.

I have the IRO 5.5" Long arm kit too with 33's. I also run their double sheer track bar and their 1-ton OTK steering. All of their products are built super stout with awesome fit and finish.

Like with most things, you will find the group that will bash IRO. I have only ever really seen 1 person who ran IRO products that wasn't happy with them. Most of us who actually use their stuff love it. Just consider the source before you decide.

As for the re-gear, I would consider it absolutely necessary, with 33's. I still have the stock 3.55 gears and my rig is a dog. When I re-gear, I'm doing 4.88's for a little extra grunt down low.

my $.02

I have ran IRO's 6.5 LA Kit for along time. I also have their d44 truss and order a ton of parts through them. I find their customer service to be extremely helpful. so-

Things I like about them:
1.The control arms themselves are super strong. They are made of a thicker metal than ALMOST everyone else. They also do a great job with the powder coat. I touch it up every few months after banging on some rocks and after 145,000 miles, I still have no rust on them. Their track bar is solid.
2.Their pieces all fit perfectly. The coils are good, their leaf springs are good the 3-piece subframe is awesome. In the event of lowering the transmission/transfer case, its so much easier than the solid section ones where you have to drop the entire suspension.
3.It functions. Really well. It gives me all the articulation I will ever need.
4. Its affordable. I really do not think there is anything else close to the same quality in the same price range.
5. The caster adjustor. It is soooo easy. And dispite what everyone cries about, mine has had 0 issues.

Things I don't like
1. The bolt in the passenger side arm. I hate it. I have replaced it a ton of times now. For whatever reason, mine eats away. The joint is fine- just whatever grade bolt I put in there, it gets worn down over time and the arm starts to to clank (yes I get the right size)
2. Where it mounts to the unibody. While I did not have a single problem, I don't like that the whole thing is just held up by 4 bolts per side through sheet metal. I got frame rail stiffeners and bolted it through that/welded it and I no longer have any worries. I never had a problem it just bugged me.

That's it. It handles great (especially with the Bilsteins- don't get the DoechTechs haha) Its easily the best value in my opinion and they are good guys.

Did you try out the doechtechs and have issues?

I'm using them now and I can say they're better than most of the shocks that come with other lifts. They're a good shock, just pretty stiff. I can easily unseat my spring and still have more room to go in the shock. I'm upgrading to bilstein shocks though for a little better ride.

Their track bar is nice, the bushings are disappointing. Mine are ruined after 10 months.

I wouldn't ever run their long arm kit.

I wore my bushing out in 9 months on track bar, I had ps fluid leaking slowly on it. They still warranteed the part and the bushings the use is MOOG. Their longarms have a low failure rate. Its only the same few people that constantly complain about the design.

I need to call them about the warranty on them, I didn't have a chance this week.

That design is reason enough for me to not want to run them. And the picture from the SE section of NAXJA where the dude bent his IRO crossmember all to hell.

If you bend a IRO crossmember then no other production crossmember would stand a chance in Hell. Just the center section alone is like 20lbs of pure beef. It would take something short of a car accident to bend that bastard to hell

Call me crazy, but I don't want a 10mm not keeping my axle from rolling back under the Jeep.

My favorite new flaw to point out.
