no one likes the hack n tap? I just did a IRO hack and tap. took about 20 mins not including the old shaft removal. $100 plus a $18 front junk yard shaft.

Hangs out farther and doesn't upgrade the transfercase main shaft. Plus I'd rather stick parts in than try and cut off the right amount and try and drill the center and all that. Just personal preference.

Full SYE Kits have a stronger shaft than the OEM shaft.

"Like" has nothing to with it, it's about strength vs budget.

Choose which is more important to you and shop accordingly.

Question here... I installed a 4.5 inch lift and wasnt having any vibration issues at all, but did manage to drop my drive shaft when the yoke slipped off the shaft the other day, Im looking into the SYE kit, but im wondering does that take away the ability for the shaft to move with the flexing of the leaf springs pushing and pulling the shaft ? I thought thats what the slip yoke was there for, and its okay to take that away and have a more connected system ?

with a SYE, you have to use a double cardan driveshaft. It have the slip on the shaft itself instead of the transfer case.

It doesn't completely remove the slip yoke just moves it from the transfer case output shaft to the middle of the drive shaft.
