Any Ideas?? Lift
Okay so i want to add an inch of lift to the front and rear of my cherokee so i can clear 33's. I was thinking a 1 inch coil spacer and maybe a block with one more inch onto it? any ideas would be helpfull. Also do you think that i would need longer drivelines brake lines ect if add just one inch? I have a 4.5 inch lift on now. thanks

That'll make answering your question easier to answer.
Blocks suck, though. Don't use them unless you have to. Better ways exist.

With 4.5" lift you already can run 33" tires. But if you want to go higher describe the changes made to get to the lift you have, NOT I have SOandSO KIT, what parts are not stock.

One inch blocks and spacers should work fine. But blocks are not the best, shackle if you can as has already been said. If you already have longer brakelines, one inch shouldn't make much difference. What do you have for rear driveshaft? If you have already done a SYE, you should be fine.
I started with a 3.5" lift, and spaced and blocked it about 1.75." Running YJ brakelines and an SYE with front CV shaft I had no problems. It did ride pretty rough though.

its has 4.5inch coils and it looks like 2 inch blocks or 2 and a half inch blocks. and ya i already put 33's on it and it would not fit in the front they would rub inside the wheel well..

I am surprised you can't fit 33s already...
get a 1" spacer (which is more like 3/4") and add an extra coil isolator (or get several coil isolators and stack them, cheap/free at the junk yard)
another option is to make your own coil spacer, it is easy to do if you have a welder... I made a pair of 1.75" spacers for only $9 a couple months ago
http://www.madxj.com/MADXJ/technical...oilSpacers.htm
for the rear, take off the blocks, and add a superior automotive Chevy lowering shackle... it will add 2.6" at it's tallest setting, 1.6" on the shortest setting (best part is it only cost about $35 and almost all BIG NAME auto parts stores have it (part number 13-4100)... then add a couple S10 leafs to your existing leaf pack... (google XJ bastard pack for more info)
when you are done your rear end will flex like mad and it should feel more stable too...

I have 4 1/2 w 33s and trimmed fenders and rubs a little bit when the the tires are stuffed just need to adjust my bump stops a little.Looks like you gotta go higher or trim or trim and bump stop it more.Properly back spaced wheels will help if its rubbing when you turn, also adjust the steering stops.

This sounds great... so if i add that chevy lowering shackle you think i'll need any modification like drive line, brake line,? A friend said if i go past a 4.5inch lift then long arms are recomended ?
