Try pulling the fog light relay under hood I think and up under the dash by the steering wheel there is a silver delay module just unplug it. Like I said those are tricks for hids but sense they both use ballast it's worth a shot. Maybe Wiggles can chime in if he sees this.

I see... very nice article and looks great!!! I didn't convert my high beams but with projectors do you think I would be able to see the road better at night ? I was trying to get better light cause on low beam I couldn't see good. They helped out and perform better than the halogen bulb but still could use more and maybe your idea of projectors would do that for me thanks for the info and time xjmike

I'm not saying you shouldn't because it's going to mess up your jeep or anything just that with the amount of lumens HIDs produce you need a projector to focus that light so it doesn't blind oncoming traffic.
You said you have a WJ?

Thanks for the help XJmike. Where is the fog light relay under to hood located at? And so I am just looking for a silver box under the dash/steering wheel and unplugging that? I can always get out the factory service manual to find these things, but I'm just seeing if you have a better description of what I need to be unplugging.

Currently there's nothing on the market that rivals a proper quality HID projector retrofit. There are some advantages to the LED headlights such as Trucklites & JWspeaker such as simplicity to install.
On scale from 1-10 in performance (also happens to go from cheapest to most expensive) are options I have personally used or seen in person.
1 - Stock Reflector Halogen Headlight (these suck so bad they should get a zero)
3 - Clear Lens Reflector H4 Halogen with Upgraded Wiring
5 - Trucklite Reflector LED(best bang for the buck)
7 - JWSpeaker 8700 Projector LED
9 - HID Projector Retrofit (truly superior output, width, evenness, & cutoff).

I paid $350-ish for mine. I see people spend that on a cheap 50" LED light bar that they can't even use on the street just so they can look cool. I think that's good money for usable light. There's a link in the bio below if you want to see pics for days. We don't have much Jeep stuff up on there because all you guys are either too cheap or think LED's are the bomb-diggity.

im going to suggest you seek other places to buy your parts..... DDM tuning wouldnt be a bad stop either. $69 for projectors, shroud and wiring for h4 to h1 setup another $30 for the HID kit. This is all with a lifetime warranty as well.

Alright, so I got the problem solved! All I had to do was pull the fog light relay. They weren't working either so I didn't mind at all. Haha of course I pulled the dash apart and disconnected the delay module first before trying the fog relay. Reconnected the delay module and put the dash back together and everything is working now that the fog light relay is out.
Special thanks to XJmike!
The pictures are above as promised. The headlights still need to be aimed, but you can see the clean cut offs from the LEDs.

Ok that's what you would charge. Thats a different story. We don't want another FST fiasco. I'd never recommend eBay craps either but a diy retrofit for an XJ with morimoto xb parts and mini H1s is not near that price.
