Well, went wheelin and bent my antenna a while back, then the car wash chopped it off for good (R.I.P.). It was an electric one forgot to put it down...anyways how hard (or simple, hopefully) would it be to switch my antenna from electirc to screw on??

i dont know for sure but on other vehicles it was as easy as just changing the base of the antenna. youd have to remove the fender.

The previous owner of mine just ripped off the antenna (left the electric base and everything in the fender) then when I replaced that antenna, I just dropped it in, tightened it up, hooked up the wires, and it works better than ever

I'm not sure about swapping the electric base, but I replaced my stocker with a 6" AMI stubbie billet antenna in black powdercoat. I also have a 6" polished billet one on my Frontier. They look great, have awesome reception, and dont get mangled off road. Summitt is the best place to get them.

I replaced my stock electric with a collaspable one. Forgot to push it down, bent it and replaced it with one of those rubber 16" ones. Hardest thing was trying to route the new antenna wire. Biggest PITA ever!

I would just screw it in and do the wires but I guess i'll have to take the motor out since even when my jeep is off it still runs (so my fix right now is i pulled the fuse but I dont really know what else the antenna fuse powers)

Surely you could just yank that stuff out and install a regular base from the jy...

You can see the stubbie on the Jeep if you zoom in on the photo below... I also included a pic of the one on the Fronty. Can't recommend them enough.
