Another Rear Quarter Cut & Fold - Pic Thread
Since I referenced THIS thread, there is really nothing more to say about how to do it.
BUT, if I were to add anything, I might would suggest leaving more than 1.25" of material at the front (area just behind your rear tire) as it can only be more helpful for securing the panels. I also think you should consider cutting a relief, or notching the area out around the lower grommet for the tail lights. There isn't much to gain by having it extend up as high as paraleyes did in his thread.
A little older pic - but of the area after the bumper cap is removed. Looked to be in better shape than it actually was...
Foam block and rust removed...
Riveted and seam sealed
This is what I was talking about on the notching for the taillight grommet.
A shot from the inside of the passenger side - You can't hardly access the area for jack on the other side. The support for the filler spout is all over that space.
All finished - sanded with 320 and sprayed with 3M undercoating (stuff is expensive but is all I'd ever use)
I love the end result, the truck looks SO much better - do it to yours STAT!

Good job with the cuts. Came out very clean looking.
... I see you have some kind of interesting contraption on your leaf springs. What ya got there and what's the purpose? Keep the springs arch? Prevent axle wrap? Make sure your muffler bearings don't go out of sync and cause the blinker fluid to overheat?

Haha, I wondered if any S-chassis fans would stumble across this thread. It's a '96 that I've had for a little over 11 years. It's got a built SR20DET that makes a little over 400whp @ 18psi in it with the chassis & brake mods to support. It's my other labor of love. There is a thread on it HERE

Nice work on the cut and fold. I've gotta do mine. I've also been looking for an s13 but living in the rust belt doesn't help the search much. And the fact that everyone thrashes them.
