Default ANOTHER fender flare cutting question

hey guys,

before you all go crazy, ive searched the past hour or so on the subject, and i didnt find everything i was looking for. im looking for a good write up, i saw the ones in the how-to section, but most the pics didnt work and im just wondering if anyone has any on their builds they can link me to. bout to chop up the ol' heap tom. thanks

as i stated in the title, i am wanting to trim my fender flares. more specifically to make room for 33's on a 3.5 in lift.

you can just start cutting into the front. I used a die grinder.
the rear has a pinch seem that you dont want to cut through. pretty simple. you'd have to ask a specific question

Basic process is cut, flex, cut, flex, cut, flex and cut. If you cant cut anymore bumpstop.

is the pinch seam at the top fold on the flares before it smooths out into the body? if that makes any sense haha

correct. mine is folded at the pinch seem here shown on the rear fender

Your fenders or your fender flares? Or cut the fenders and then modify the flares to fit the larger wheel well opening?

thank you for the pics! and sorry- i misspoke. im just cutting the fenders, forgetting the flares. what did you do personally to prevent rust when you cut them?

The back fenders I sealed the folded over part with gutter type paintable outdoor caulk and then painted. The front I just left as is.

did it today, wasnt as bad as i thought. thanks for the advice, gonna bedline the lower part of the quarter panels and fender panels.

dude, chill. i said the pictures didnt work, not that they were bad pictures.
