That is one of, if not the cleanest installs I have ever seen. Great job!

Tell people its the new android triple din head unit... lol.

Looks good. Get yourself a Bluetooth obd2 dongle and get some diagnostic s on it.

I would miss the center vents though. I like using them to heat up my sunglasses.

I'm riding Colorado trails, so once I hit 13,000 ft elevation I switch over to angry birds space.

No tuner. I run Pandora, last FM, YouTube, etc. But when there is no service I run my music off the hard drive.

Looking into doing some engine management via Bluetooth
I've got an ASUS TF101 running Android 4.02 that I dropped and bent the aluminum bezel. I'm picking up a new TF700 next month and I think this mod would be the perfect "Repurpose" for the old TF101.
You have to do a write up on this!!!
I also would like the heat to blow out faster near my legs!!

Looks like somebody works at Car Toys. I'd recognize that checkered floor with my eyes closed.

Nice work for sure. I've got plans to do a nearly identical sub enclosure for my XJ. Not sure if I'm going to use the passenger side or driver side yet though; I removed my spare and don't plan on putting it back so I've got options on location.

Ha you nailed. I thought someone might notice Cat Toys eventually. I wanna offer this kind of stuff on these forums but can't advertise on here :/

So for your passenger side... Im in the same boat right now. so far, I've considered another 10, a cooler made of abs which has a drain plug going through the bottom to outside the car, and mostly a fiberglassed in air tank/compressor.
Keep in touch about this, Ide like to see what you come up with. What are your ideas so far?

I'm curious, how did you get the box to stay against the factory panel? Did you just pressure fit it or did you secure it at the ends with brackets? I figured it would stick pretty well with a nice good fiberglass mold but would be a little concerned about it popping out of place if I hit a good bump or rock around a right hand corner fast enough lol.

I'll make sure that post up anything that I come up with for a custom box. I don't get to do it too often so my finished products aren't quite as pretty as yours but they work and sound good
