Default Amp wiring question!

Okay, I got cheap setup recently just to get more clear sound out of my jeep, I wired my amp normally to the battery but the only good spot to get through the firewall is on the drivers side, I own a 2000 xj sport and the battery is on the passenger side, has anyone been able to drill through the firewall safely? I don't want to relocate the battery of have my waiting running across my engine. Any help would be appriciated!

There is a rubber grommet on the passenger side that you can go through.

ya just find a good spot where your not gona drill into anything on the other side and where you can get a drill at. make sure you use a gromet too so the wire doesnt get grounded.
