I'm sick of the location of the alternator on my xj and was wondering do any of y'all have a solution to not flooding it while going through mud and or water, just recently flooded mine and was curious on some fixes, I was thinking maybe cutting some sheet metal or thin steel to bolt over the alternator, haven't really gotten hands on with the project, any and all help would be awesome, pictures would be great as well. Thanks.

 

If you don't have ac or don't mind not having ac you could move it up too. I've never done it but certainly with skill, patients, and creativity it can be done.
