I'm %90 sure I need to replace my alternator Within the next few hours. Are there any direct bolt in upgrades I can get at the auto store?

You could get the one for a 2.5L Dakota. they are 117A and drop right in. and if you have a grinder around you can do a V8 ZJ alternator and it's a 136A.

Thanks, not to get off the alternator topic or anything, but the v8 Durango steering box swap is another worth while mod too.

You have a 2K (per your profile,) so you already have the 117A unit.

There are no "drop-in" parts short of something custom-built, like Mean Green, Powerman, or Rush Power Systems.

However, you can swap in a 136A or 160A unit from a later Dodge application (I've posted a donor list) once you've ground away some of the mounting area to clear the larger frame.
