Gidday. I currently have a Denso 822AA alternator fitted to my 2000 XJ, rated at 117amps.
I am entering a winch comp which has both day and night stages, and have concerns that my my alternator won't be able to stand up to the task at hand.
I will be running a 9500lb winch, together with 2x 150watt, and 4x 100 watt spotlights for the night stages.
My question is, is anyone running a 135amp, or 150amp alternator, and if so, what brand (and part number is it) Just want to be able to swap it out with the current one, with minimal fuss.
I have already purchased 16mm cable to run between the battery and the alternator to aid in the current flow.
Any help on this would be appreciated.
Cheers - Bill
