I see cherokees of all kinds of years with this function. where it alternates flashing between the turn signal and the side marker. I love it, especially since around here high visibility is a must. so my question is, what packages and years had it? how can I get it?

 

It's easy to do. I've done it with the help of a write-up. Can't remember if it was factory in 89 or 90. Also can't find the link. Thought I saved it. I printed it out years ago...

 

it does it whenever the headlights are on, on all 91+ cherokees to the best of my knowledge.

 

My 90 Comanche does it, too.

Nah they definitely don't all do that. Mine didn't do that until I put in these turn signal bulbs right now:

It was the weirdest thing. I bought em just because I love the LED look and the idea of it switching from white to an amber color when putting on a turn signal/emergency lights really appealed to me. So the bulb switches colors like it should but now all of a sudden it also does the switching of turn signals/side markers, which it has never done before. Didn't know that was going to happen but I'm stoked I got that perk with it.

Maybe somebody can explain why this bulb does that? This could be something to look into

 

Also, the Kevin's Off Road site has this mod & a bunch of others. Did it on my 88 xj, works great!
