Ok folks... I am finally getting the stuff to lift my 01 2wd XJ in the mail and could use some input before I start actually wrenching. Here is what I have sitting in my (Gasp!) room right now...
RE stuff: 3.5" coils, 4 shocks, adjustable track bar and bracket and the TB brace.
JKS stuff: ACOS and quick discos.
I also have a set of Ford Ranger leaf springs to build the bastard packs and a couple GM pick ups I can steal some shackles from if need be.
So based on this I'm guessing I'll be sitting about 5.5"s or so.... Do any of you see anything I need that is not on the list? Please let me know before I turn my DD into another non-functioning project I can't afford right now to be without.

Gotcha... Now comes the bumkin' question... Can I get by without them short term. I head back to the states in about 2 months and would prefer to wait to order them when I'm home. Shipping here is a ball buster.. I won't be doing anything but street driving and even that will be short distance on post at less than 60mph anywhere. No off roading expected before I leave either.

and i would measure those GM pickup shckles first before countin on them.... murphys law. u dont want to those as a back up plan if u dont know for sure that they will fit. as far as only drivin it around town....u need brakes. srry. Just head down to ur local parts store and ask for brake line and make the extension ur self. UCAs and LCAs on a 5.5" u might still need those new ones. u would beable to get away with it if u were only at 3.5" but 5.5" is just too tall for those stock ones to work. RC sells them and they are good and solid and cheap.
I was in ur position once. my DD jeep is sittin on blocks right now cuz i dont have the money to fix it.

Thanks guys... I only wish it was as easy as a trip down to the local parts store. If I had a VW or MB it wouldn't be a problem but Germany isn't very Jeep part friendly. lol! I can order the brake lines through AFFES (Military store) and they usually take about a week. Time more than anything is the big issue. Most things I order take 2-3 weeks and shipping is expensive. I did have really good luck with Serious off road so maybe I'll ask him about control arms. I'm planning on a long arm kit in the future but can't swing it right now so I was just hoping to get by with the stockers very short term. Whats worse is I have an 8.8 to go into it too and forgot to order the wheel sacers! Argh! And this is my DD... you should see the headache I'm having building my "toy" 83 CJ8!!!
