Should only be about a 1/4 of an inch off at that height, about but I don't know enough about the subject to give advice on it, my 4.5 came with an adjustable... Yet I have a buddy running 5 with stock.... so in my experience you should be fine

It isn't just the horizontal distance; it's the angle of the track bar and the ends. It should be replaced above a 2" lift, but a lot of people ignore it anyway.

On the subject, I recommend the IRO double shear bar.

Hope I am posting this in the right place.

I have a 98 Sport. When I bought it there was a 2 inch lift. The rear springs are sagging and I want to bring it back to normal but also know I usually carry lots of weight and tow a trailer.

Wonder what your thoughts are on what kind of springs to purchase?

If you carry/tow a decent amount of weight, i'd recommend some OME HD springs - they are dual rate (better ride when unloaded, better load handling) and ride better than stock.

Also an over load spring would help, and depending on how much weight air bags too... Just my 2c

Today my leaf springs were suppose to be replaced. The bolts holding the leaf springs to the frame are having to be cut. What is a reasonable amount of time for this to take? I'm new here, and I've only had my XJ for about a month so I'm trying to learn, but I also don't want to be hung out to dry and do not want to be upset if this truly does take the time put in so far.

It all depends on the tools you're using and who's doing it.

Why are they needing to be cut out?
