If you dont lift you dont have to worry about the components. If you are just going to trim, you could fit the 30's no prob. Pretty sure you would need an alignment though, If you are going to trim, you can see if you have rubbing and then trim there

I would like to get this all done the first time correctly.

thanks alot.
sorry we started off a bad foot. I will answer this for you. Actually my answer is still the same. Dont lift it. No need. Why spend hundreds of $$ on something that is manufactured to be wheeled. Your components will wear our quicker. You might vibes which take more $$ to fix. You gas mileage will go down. Why? just because you think it looks pretty? Makes no sense.

But its up to you. 3" lift will be enough for those tires and wheels.

Whats up guys.. Ive got an 89 Cherokee limited 4door, auto.
I'd like to run 3 or 3.5" lift. Coils and full leaf packs, new shocks. I want it done RIGHT the first time. Would I need tc drop, extended brake lines, drop front steering parts, or anything else? Will be running 31x10.5r15's(most likely a street-friendly tire, Wrangler sra or Michelin Ltx m/s)

Also, Ive read bad things about 3" AAL. Are they only no good if used with old leaf packs? I work in a shop, and could get stock leaf packs at cost, then buy the AAL on line.. Would this be OK? Thanks guys..

my plan was exactly what your is but i ended up also putting in my 2" spacer and shackle kit i had left from another jeep. so i have 5" on an 87 auto 4.0 with only the soft brake line being upgraded in the back and the soft lines being changed in the fronts plus an adjustable track bar. if i was only doing the 3" i could've gotten away without the brake lines and the track bar but after seeing how it looked, i went all the way. i got hte 31" wranglers duratracs also and i have the aal kit. works fine for me

and boy am i glad. everyone always tells me my jeeps looks like a monster compared to the stock and 2 or 3" lift guys.

5" and 31s

2" with stockers

totally stock

Do I really need to jack up my jeep to get my new shocks in? For one I don't have one right now (just moved).
I've been waiting 2 months for these shocks to come in and I'm overly excited to get them installed.

Hi there, love this thread...

Im from Malaysia, I intend to get the RE 4.5 lift kit short arms for my XJ 2.5 drive) from Quadratec

Would it fit my XJ JEEP as it might not be the same cause it is a Malaysian built(Right hand drive) because they were built differently than the ones in the United States?

Would appreciate your $0.02, Thank you!

Even being right hand drive it should still fit...

If your in question of this e-mail Rubicon Express..

But from everything I've read the lifts we get here in the states will work on both right and left hand drive Cherokees..
