Any/how much sagging over time? It's main function will be a DD but it will definitely be off-roaded...primarily woods/trails and beach as opposed to rockcrawling or serious mudbogging.

If I go the OME route, I may also add an inchish spacer to the front and commanche shackles in the back...but not sure. If anyone has this OME set-up or can offer insight I'd love to hear it. Thanks.
Look up Mike H in the member's list and check out his photo album. He's running OME 2.5" on 33's and has a great setup. You could PM him for feedback and I'm sure he'd be happy to offer his thoughts.

yeah that would work. Pretty easy too. A lot of budget boost kits out there and they are pretty cheap too. From what I understand you wouldnt need the new shocks if you dont do anything with your control arms. I was going to post some links but my computer is acting retarded. I think that rustys has a kit that is just a shackle and a spacer for the front for just under 100, one that does just under an inch and one that does just under two inches both with greasable shackles. Rough country has one that is 1.5 I think, but i think it comes with the shocks and non greasable shackle. Other companys make them too. I have an RE shackle in my rear now too.

Another route you could go is just getting new coil spring in the front. One of the wrangler model stock springs offer lift when put on the xj (I think its the JK but could be wrong, Buddy of mine got a little more than 1/2" out of them)

The shackles are super easy to install as well (took like 25-45 minutes for me and im retarded with a wrench)

new question... concerning front end only

i have a 3.5 lift, via re springs, lca, sway bar links, adj. track bar, shocks, and brake lines. i want to add 1 inch or so, would i be good with only spacers or is there more?

i know this is asked frequently and the answer is usualy that more parts are needed, but my list is prety complete, so will i need more?

Holy lord this thread got long. sorry if this question has already been adressed but I wasnt looking forward to reading 58 pages of posts to look for it lol. Ive been looking at the rubicon express lifts and the rough country lifts. My question is is the rubicon express lift that much better quality for the price over the rough country products? It seems like i can get a rc 4.5" lift with full leafs and better shocks for just a bit more than i would spend on a 3.5" re kit with AAL and no shocks.

I really liked the affordability of this lift. I will not break the bank and when you buy a 3 in lift kit that is what you get. The shocks leave a lot to be desired so if you have the bank roll buy an upgrade. As far as ride a lot of people say it is Rough, my thoughts are I drive a Jeep I want to feel the bumps so I think the ride is fine.

Everyone tends to ask about my Shackles they run about 100 bucks and are great for recovery you can get them here.

Shackle Mounts

Dude i am diggin the wag. I am like one of the only ones around me and i always like seein another one

31's will not fit without lifting. I lifted 3" at first and had to trim a little bit off of the fender flare to keep it from rubbing at that. Ive seen 235 stuff the rear of older cherokee spring, but Im not sure as to what the maximum size you can fit. But definetly not 31's without trimming

I got leaf packs from RC and so far so good. I was very displeased with the shocks and wound up selling them and upgrading to bilsteins and then pretty much redoing the whole front end lift. But I am still pleased with those full leaf packs

Are the swaybar links functional for up to 4.5? And the shocks usually are designed for a certain amount of lift. I talked with the rubi guys and theres were from 3.5-4.5 so you should be good there. I went from 3-4 and just needed to upgrade my shocks and adjust my control arms 1/4", so assuming that your links can make the jump and your shocks are for the right height of lift it looks to me like you have a pretty complete setup (one step ahead of me(Im waiting for the brake lines to get here))

ok i got one more question, if i got a 3" lift, and went to 31/10.50 tires or so, about how much mileage would i loose? currently its stock, and i get 24 mpg highway, and about 18 in town. i average around 20 mpg on each tank. how much can i expect to loose?
