Dukie.. U are correct about the added expense .. butttt u don't need at least 4" of lift. There are some people on CF using long arms with less than 4" ..

then they aren't true long arms. Long arms attach to the tranny crossmember and would contact the framerails at <4" of lift.

Anyone running "long arms" on less than that has custom arms that are a mid-arm style attachment setup.

Well that blows the long arm system Im designing out of the water. Was going to run a bend upwards to clear the frame then use a longer upper arm to compensate for pinion angle. Oh well. LOL. I really wanted to run true long arms.

If you have the crossmember mounts far enough inboard then you can run longarms on lower lift

I just got some rough country adjustable X-flex lca's and I was wondering if you guys knew what way they go in? Does the heim joint go on the axle or the body and the other end (poly joint) is offset. What way does that go?

Poly end to the axle. Offset is there to clear the shock mount.

Is there a certain way the bends in the long arms are sopposec to go one of mine is pointing down and the othe is like to the left kinda

Question, I just bought a rough country 3" series II lift kit and was wondering if I absolutely need a new panhard bar and sye or t-case drop?
