No they are from IronRock. Am attempting to lower the jeep to under 4" but seems to be more trouble than it's worth.

Ah ok... still a great deal on those springs though.

cool I will try that

If tire clearance is not an issue, can measure from ride height if you already have shocks installed. Measure remaining shaft of shock, this is the allowable uptravel.
That measurement, minus 1/2 inch, will be transferred to inside the coil spring. Bumps will need to be built to stop uptravel there. The idea is not to overcompress shock.
I'm going to check out Rockridge, getting ready to do my lift in the next couple weeks, gotta figure out what I'm gonna buy still. having a hard time deciding between 3" or 4.5"

More common than you would think. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/che...-lines-221708/

I checked that thread out, the lip of my oil pan is damaged too, not leaking though, so that's a good thing. One of my trans lines is pinched pretty bad, I'm worried that it may be restricting flow.

That is something I really have to consider, especially since I have a tendency to put all of my posessions on the top of my jeep and travel cross country just because I feel like it. I would love to have the extra clearance between the wheels and the body for that purpose. In the near future I'll be installing a class III hitch as well.

I have a 2001 xj with 4.5 in rubicon express. I need to replace a spring in the front and I'm thinking about just upgrading it to 6 inch springs and getting nylon blocks in the rear. Would i need to upgrade anything else? Or any ideas of what I should do open for options

Yes, it would cost at least a thousand dollars, depending on what else you've done to your Jeep.

Long arm suspension
Track bar
Entirely new steering setup
Drive shafts
SYE, if you haven't already
Even longer brake lines, maybe
Shackles, shackle relocation boxes
Maybe even leaf springs, depending on which RE kit you used. I think they're 3.5" lift springs with a 1" lift shackle.

2" blocks are not a viable option on XJs

2000 Cherokee, AW4, NP242, Dana 30, Chrysler 8.25 All Stock

Looking to do 4.5 inches of lift with the following:

4.5 Rough Country X-Series Lift...
Control Arm Drop Kit
Heavy Duty Tie Rod

Will i be fine with the just the 1 inch transfer case drop? Has anyone else done with lift with this year cherokee and transfer case? I have seen alot of people with the 231 and this lift but since a SYE is not readily available for the 242 i would like some advice.

Tires are going to be 32x11.5

thank you!
