I have a 1999 XJ
4.0 L engine
SkyJac 3 inch lift
SkyJac shocks
No other Mods
Vibration issue

I have install a SkyJac 3 inch suspension lift with replacement rear leaf springs. Other than that the XJ is stock. Still running on stock tires. Shocks replaced with SkyJac Nitro 8000 fitted for the 3 inches of lift.

I have a vibration around 25 - 35 mph and a slight rumble at driving speed (55 - 70). I assume this is due to the new angle of the drive shaft.

I am looking for opinions on how to correct this vibration. I was looking at the drive shaft angle reduction kit. I have also been reading about having to shorten the drive shaft but was hoping not to have to get into that mess of cutting it off and having it welded and balanced.

I was not expecting this much difference in ride with such a small lift.

Thanks in advance.

yeah my dad works at michelin here in greenville and michelin owns Uniroyal. Same basic design on most tires just a little cheaper.

Default bent adjustable LCA's

I got a 4.5in lift with re coils and basterd pack rear. I bought a set of bent adjustable lca's. What I'm asking is would the end that is adjustable go to the frame or the rear end. It is a 96 Cherokee sport.

I am looking for a 3" complete lift kit and was wondering what brand or mix of brands parts would give me a decently smooth drive on road and bit softer offroad. Im not rock crawling and I like to drive a little faster on the dirt and sand so softer is nicer in those situations.

I just bought the 3" zone kit with full leafs for my 97. I went with the nitro shocks because they are a bit more heavy duty and will support the extra weight of my bumpers and carriers. I bought the lift through RockRidge 4WD and the sales staff was excellent, they also take care of cherokee forum members. I had the truck on the sand about 2 days ago and the ride was pretty good. If you want a softer ride they actually were recommending the regular duty shocks.

I talked to the place that made them and they said adjustable end goes to frame side would be best. makes sense cause the locking nut hits the bracket on the rear end at full flex.
