Default Off Brand Tires

Well I have a question for you guys, I'm. Looking for some cheap tires to run for the winter, and I've been going back and forth between two brands I'm not very familiar with, the Kenda Klever and Nankang Mudstar. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with either of these tires? I'm not expecting anything impressive out of mileage, but I need to know how they handle inclement weather and some muddy trails. Just curious about some feedback about these particular tires and what anyone's experience was with them. Thank you.

Don't know about them, but look at treadwright.com

Add the Kedge Grip option if you're only using them in winter

Avoid ANY Chinese tires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made the mistake of buying a set of Nankang 32's for my son's former rig. We barely got 5-6K out of them.

Thanks for the reply, I checked them out but I'm looking for 33/12.5/15's which they don't offer anymore. That narrows my search. I have heard so many mixed reviews I'm not sure what to think, but for the price it's almost worth rolling the dice.
II'm leaning towards the Kenda's
I can get four of them in a 33 shipped to my door for $660. Hard to pass up

Does anybody run this tire? If so how are they on road and off? Good in the winter too?

Does anyone have pictures of a 6.5 inch lift with 31's? I'll have to roll around like that for a bit and want to see what it will look like.

It looks bad. Like stock tires and 4.5" lift with trimmed fenders.

haha that's what I thought. I'm just truly torn between doing the BDS 4.5 or 6.5. I really wanna go big and do 6.5 and 33s, but my dad (who has a Cherokee too) thinks I should do 4.5 and 31s since its a dd. I already have a 4 inch shortarm since when I bought it. I'm thinking I only live once so why not go big haha

Honestly, 6.5 is a waste IMHO. Go 4.5 and trim for 33s and bumpstop properly. That'll make you and your dad happy

Go with the 4.5" and trim if you really want big tires. I just put a 3" lift on my 98 and it is a lot taller than I thought it would be.

You're still going to bash your rockers.

OK as I mentioned I just put the front half of a 3" lift on my 98, the back was already lifted when I got it. I wasn't able to get the track bar bolt out because I didn't have the right size socket for my impact gun.

I am running off to my brothers tomorrow to borrow his impact sockets and electric gun to get the bolt out. I know that I should really be looking to get an adjustable track bar, but is drilling a new hole really so bad? It is just a mater of finances right now so if I don't have to drop another $200-$300 Canadian I could live with another hole in my XJ

That's what sliders are for. And if you lift more, you're less stable. It all depends on where/what you wheel

Hey I just put some 31" hankook ATMs on. They seem to only be 2 ply on the sidewalls according to the sidewall info. Anyway, I'm going to be carrying a 215 pound moto on the back with a 40 pound rack. Is there any recommendation for how much to go up in the rear PSI? Running 33 F/R right now overall, and it seems to ride okay so far. Should I just up it 5 in the rear for the added load? Putting the bike on a hitch rack.
