I ordered a RE 3.5" Lift with Bilsteins, but the shocks are getting here around February 25 due to back order shenanigans.

My question is, I really want to put my lift on tomorrow, so can I use my stock shocks for street driving only for around 2 weeks until the Bilsteins get here?

well depends on how much lift the shackle gives you. Yes shackles help flex.

well the shackles that come with the kit are for 4.5 lift. i just dont see that i need to change my shackles if the leaf springs are gonna be 4.5 springs.. or are they normally less with added shackles that come with the kit givin 4.5 inches of lift.. they typically have a combonation of the 2 making ur lift..??

That RE3.5 kit with full leaf packs will give you 4.5' to 5" of lift. I have the super ride kit. Don't think the shocks will fit. The are going to be too short.

I am stuck between a couple Rough Country lifts. I am looking for 3" and have narrowed it down between the two Rough Country lifts in that height:

http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3.html
and
http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3x.html

My jeep is my daily driver and the only off-roading I do is the trails to and from some camp sites and rock climbing areas that I go to, as well as a few trails during summer, but no heavy mud or rock crawling. Will the sway bar drop and lower control arms be worth it, or should I stick with the less expensive one.

Thanks.

Did you get the one with the lower control arms or the one without them. That is more what I am looking into. I don't know how much use they will be to me as the Jeep is mainly my daily driver and my off road use will be limited to trail driving, nothing too insane.

I just got my series II lift in with full spring pack and the guy that is installing the lift for me said that if you are going with a bigger tire, it's better to get the lower control arms with the kit because they won't rub if you still with the recommended 31x10.5" tire. I wanted to replace mine anyway just to be sure I have new bushings plus they are made to fit with the lift.

Default Rock-Tek 4.5" Suspension Solution [XJ]

Hi all,

Im going to buy a Cherokee and I'm looking at putting on the Rock-Tek 4.5" Suspension Solution [XJ]. (http://www.tntcustoms.com/rock-tek45...utionxj-1.aspx) Does anybody run this system?

Also, what will I have to do besides the suspension to run the 4.5" lift and 35's? (besides fender trimming) Any re-gearing needed right away? Or other drive train modifications? Thanks!

Craig

WOW Rubicon Express is closed? I wonder if it is just a winter thing or what?
I am getting a RC 3" lift for my rig (http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3x.html) with full leave pack as soon as it dries out a little and I can install it. A lot of lift for the money and many guys here run them.

You will need to get 4.56 gears to run those 35s.
