Have someone turn the steering wheel back and forth while you lay under the front and see what has play in it.

On Morris 4x4 center I saw a power steering upgrade for tires bigger than 31's on a jeep cherokee xj what would that help? Just turning and driving smoother?

At your lift height and tire size the aftermarket steering kit wouldn't be a bad idea though.

Maybe. Depends on what's wrong with your current steering system. If your gear box is worn out then all new steering isn't going to help anything. If your tie rod ends are all worn out then, yes, the aftermarket steering would help since it'd be replacing all the OEM stuff.
At your lift height and tire size the aftermarket steering kit wouldn't be a bad idea though.

My question is in regards to bumper height.
In Missouri (legally speaking) your bumper may not be more than 24inches above the ground. Now my question... Is this 24 inchs from the very bottom or where it curves?
From very bottom its only 12" now. But from where it curves to the actual "bumper" is 19".

In the "Bumpers" section it says (Measured from the bottom of the bumper)
I'd say that you should go by they bottom of the steel portion of the bumper, not the bottom of the plastic valance.
Around here no laws like that are enforced unless you get a jerk cop.

You could just carry stock spare ones, I've never seen one break. Put on a cool chrome diff cover and take the c clips on the end of the axle shaft off too.
