Recently added new rims/tires and rims have smaller back spacing of 3.75 which allow tires to protrude out. Is an alignment needed now ?

Are your tires any taller?? If yes than you may need an alignment. I run the same backspacing and have no issues as far as alignment.

No but I was told my alignment could be off now due to tires staggering out now

That post wasn't towards you, I was mainly pointing out the fact that taller tires won't change a thing.
