ALARM going off... Cant Start Engine URGENT
Hi - I have a 99 Cherokee Sport, that I bought from a friend who worked at a collision repair shop. he said he disabled the alarm, but It is lighting up, my side markers/blinkers are going off, and the light inside is blinking (Horn isn't going off) but now I can't turn it off or turn on my car. I only have the key, as he was unable to locate the key fob at time of sale. The alarm chi itself is a VARAD IC21 9917SAW. Has one black wire, and then a yellow and red. It has 7 lights on it, and a black button. is there a way to disengage, rip out, etc.! thank you

Try using the key in the drivers door to lock unlock the door I dunno for sure about Cherokees but it has worked in other cars in the past

Man, this is vague...
With it being an aftermarket alarm the key in the door most likely isn't going to work.
The only thing you're going to be able to do is pull the box down and unplug it.
The biggest problem is that they obviously wired the ignition thru the alarm.
Once you unplug the alarm box the Jeep still isn't going to start.
You're going to have to trace the wires (It's usually a yellow wire) up to the ignition switch and find the original cut factory wire and splice it back together.
Then take the alarm out and throw it in the garbage.

You probably fixed it by now but if you have another car and need to go places and cant work on your jeep at the moment just disconnect the negative terminal.
