Those are what I run in the front of mine on my 3.5". the reason I say measure for the shocks you need. if you have small lift and big tires you can go with a longer shock becuase youre not gonna have much up travel, but that also allows a **** ton of down travel. measuring is simple and you can measure for bumps at the same time. take off the shocks, go flex it out, measure for the longest extended shock you can fit and on the other side measure the length you need to let the other side stuff to the bumpstop.

I'm running pro-comp es 9500 and i'm pleased with them. Only in the rear for the moment, I swapped them out when I removed the sway bar and installed the AALs and was very pleased with their performances. very affordable but they do not include the boot.(not a big deal, gives you the opportunity to color match them to your color scheme if so desired.)

Haha that's sweet. I've bottomed out my shocks a few time. I've got to order sway bar links cause the lift they came with sold being way to long, and so you hit a bump and you shove the top of the link thru the body and it prevents proper articulation.

They'd probably be a bit tall. Thanks though.

Remove all shocks
Flex your rig to its max
measure space between mounting points,
that length is the longest extended length your rig can use, go lil long than that or get limit straps to avoid destroying a shock.

AALs mean Add a Leaf. It's one helper spring that you add to your current spring pack. It's got its own drawbacks but it maintains a relatively factory feeling ride, since this happens to be driven by my Gf full time at the moment (I dont like her driving my Subaru) I didn't want the ride to be to harsh. My last XJ had 2.5" OME heavy duty springs front and rear, and they were STIFF! Hang a wet towel off of them stiff. it ended up lifting closer to 3.5", it didn't matter which shocks I ran because I didn't drive the jeep loaded down enough so there was never any real give in the springs.

I have ANOTHER question. When it comes to ordering, will the shock length be the same for the front AND the back? Will the same shock be good for all the way around suspension?

No the fronts will typically be longer and have a different top mount compared to the rear. you can mount a "rear" shock up front with BPEs

you would not only need a BPE (Bar-Pin Eliminator) but you would also need a stud mount converter. The fronts still use bar-pins at the lower attachment so You should be able to find a bar pin that would fit into the lower bushing mount of a rear shock, or.... just buy front shocks.

I have the same issue (RC 4.5" lift). I have two holes in the body due to that problem.
