Default Advise on finish work for body welds

Ok so like the title states, I have done what I refer to as a mini tub on the rear wheel wells, cut in some hood vents, choped my fenders of course etc etc... the question is I have gotten to the point where my sheet metal welding skills are quickly becoming sharper but my question is how should I go about finishing the areas? The welds are smooth and solid and I used a blending disk to smooth everything out but this is my first run at body modification on a vehicle so I have primer over the areas now but do I use a VERY thin layer of filler like bondo or the likes to ensure a professional looking job or would it be fine just priming it like I have and move on with my other plans. I have everything in the garage for Monsta lining her eventaully but the exo and other armor pieces have to be finished and or burnt in before I move to that level.
