I want to add an ultra gauge to my 95 XJ... Would an OBD1 to OBD2 adapter make this work? Is there any way I could make the gauge work?

OBD1's computer does not have the information required to operate all but a very few of the functions of the UltraGauge. Not worth the price for the return.

They look at vehicle speed and injector pulse width, then calculate MPG used, miles traveled, etc. Its basic trip computer functionality, using the raw vehicle data.Originally Posted by JPXJMOAB

My old OBDI Cadillac had the same functionality built-in, using the same basic model.
I'm not sure how it would tie into an Ultra Gauge, I guess you could integrate the raw OBDI data and the trip data to build something.
