Default Add a leaf?

this has probably been answered on here but i cant seem to find anything.

are there any disadvantages to getting a lift with an add a leaf?

i want to get all new leaf springs but if there is nothing wrong with just an add a leaf i might do that way.

The add a leaf might help for a while. But you are only putting a band-aid on something that needs stitches. If you are putting pressure on springs that have seen better days, your are wasting your time and money. You can buy new springs through Quadratec for around $100.00 each. I am not sure if this helps you out or not.

option B is buy a decent add a leaf kit
for example, one from rock krawler suspension
then replace them with full packs when they go saggy
the only reason you should buy an aal is because you dont have enough money for full packs yet, but you fully intend on upgrading when it's affordable

yeah thats pretty much me. i want to get a full pack as soon as possible but right now i just cant put out that money unless thats all om gonna get.

but now im thinking of buying my lift piece by piece so i can get exactly what i want and not have to put out a whole lot of money at one time

I considered doing this because I was not entirely happy with any lift I could buy online
but it is much more expensive to properly build your own
I settled down with Rubicon Express because it's a fair combination of price quality and completion. only thing I have to add was shocks. cant wait to order it
it's going to make a great base for me to add quality long arms when I have the money

I'd go with the full leaf packs. The aal will work for awhile but it will end up sagging way down again and then you'll prolly want full packs so just save up for the leaf packs now and dont waste your money on the aal.
