Ok first of all I did try a search and found some info but have more questions and opinions needed.
I recently installed a 2" lift (shackles and spacers)
now my rear leaf springs are bent backwards and I have bad vibes going on. so I am looking to repair it on a tight budget.(I know new springs would be best but cannot afford) so as the title says AAD or rebuild.
there is a shop near my house that says they can rebuild it for 250 (re-spring and add a helper leaf but I have to uninstall spring and bring it to them)
or I found an AAD online for 85 bucks a set and I would not have to try to remove the dreaded front bolt that breaks often.
So with my budget I am thinking just doing the AAD myself? are they hard to do? do they last? or am I wasting my money?

I did both. A bastard pack (96 ish S10 Blazer) and used my Zone AAL. First was too tall. Ended up at 5" in the rear (wanted 3.5"), but it is a pain to swap the springs and AAL in a specific order (it's all guesstamation), clamp it (use 6" c-clamps. Much easier, though I used 4"), put it together, drop it on the wheels under the weight of the jeep, and measue the center of the wheel to bottom of the wheels well.
I tried just measuring it first, without the weight of the jeep on the wheels and it didn't seem to have enough height. But it made it so stiff, that once it was under load, it was tall as crap.
I the end, I really like the height of the 5" with 31's. It's all black, so that makes it look better too in my opinion.
