99 xj front bumper mod ideas?
Just bought a 99 for a steal due the passenger corner being wrecked. I was looking for ideas on modifying a stock front bumper so that I can run without the ends. One of them is gone and it would save some money putting this back together if I just took the other off and modified the bumper to look better. I'm a picture person and just can't seem to find many pics of one where the ends are removed. If you can post pics that would be really helpful. Thank you

I cant help directly, but alot of people with large tires 33 inch plus cut a v notch at the end of the bumper where the end caps attach. it dosent look bad and is a cheap option. Look around at peoples Photos of builds or wheeling you will see some. Im sure someone will show a picture.

Angle cut on front bumper
Hey to those who have done the angle cut on the front bumper! I’m thinking about doing this to my 95 xj but there is a small air compressor I believe on the inside of the right side of the bumper. Any suggestions on where I could relocate this to?

.
Are you talking about the horn? If so, cut the bracket where it connects and then bend the bracket part with the horn attached. Make sure the opening of the horn always faces down to prevent water intrusion or freezing during the winter.

I think he is talking about the vacuum reservoir. If its a black elongated ball looking plastic thing, you need to keep it. It can be moved but you have to be careful with the vacuum lines as they can be brittle.

If you weld, you can also box the end.
On the other hand, if you weld, you can get one of those diy winch bumper from evilbay for less than $150.
