Default 99\ 97 hp d30 hub unit

Guys I have a 99 xj which had the front axle replaced with I believe a 97 hpd30 these should be the same yes?

I'm replacing hubs but do not know which part number to get. I think they might be cast but I don'tknow. I'm going with Timken btw.

99 was a transitional period for the unit bearings. Around mid 99 they changed. You will need to order them for the 97 axle.

I stumbled across the differences (3 I know of) in the unit bearings when I tried putting a spare UB off a 98 on my 89.
All I can recommend is pulling a UBs off each axle & compare them. The differences thicknesses, if any, should be fairly obvious.

US made, that's funny. My Timkens are made in Slovakia.

So are my SKF hubs. Probably made in the same plant.
