98 to 96

Im going to look at a 96 country,with 181,xxx miles this Saturday.If everything looks good ill be picking it up my question is...will the lift off my 98 work on the 96 without any modifications?also I have the sye kit installed on my 98,is the transfer case something I could just bolt in on the 96...its a np231 in the 98 and 96

Every bit of it is a direct swap. May need to play with tcase shift lever assy though after install to get the shift pattern adjusted. They aren't always soo direct that the tcase lever works as accurately as it did before.

I went and looked at the 96,it was alot worse off then mine mechanically..So I decided not to pick it up,but I wanna thank you guys for the quick responses.
Im actaully looking into getting a reman motor,just dont know which conpany it would be best to go with
