97 zj axle in 96 xj dana 30
Hi I'm new to the forum although I have been using it for reference for over a year since before I bought my xj. Anyway I am badly in need of u joints for my front axles and i found a set on craigslist off of a 97 zj and i was wondering if they would work in my xj before i drove down and bought them.
I have the ad here http://southjersey.craigslist.org/pts/3426063853.html
any help would be great.

New u-joints for a good set are $20 each. You could buy a complete axle and have spare parts for less than that. Also they use unit bearings so nothing is pressed on so I'm guessing the seller is a bit clueless.

i know. i dont plan on paying that. lol. I also would rather not deal with beating the old ones out or getting them pressed. they are destroyed im surprised they havent broken yet.

on second thought how much of a pain is it to change them yourself? i dont have a press or a good torch. everything is pretty rusted and beat up and I just want to make it as easy as possible as im going to have to do it on my back in the cold
