K I have a 1997 cherokee sport with a 4.0 inline 6, and it's a manual transmission.
I wanna put the v8 from a 98 or 99 grand cherokee into it.
I can't find a grand cherokee with a manual trans so I'm wondering if my current trans will fit the new engine.
Also I don't know if I'll need a new wire harness or what all I will need to do this.
I know this is kind of a vague question, but could somebody tell me some of the steps I'm gonna need to know, this is my first engine swap where I'm going to a bigger engine

No idea why you would want to do that, but can I have your 4.0? Honestly with not much work you can get just as much power out of these as you could out of those 5.2's and 5.9's.
