I've got a 93 4 door XJ and the drivers seat pan is broken. The whole seat leans outward. I'm evaluating my options? I figure I can keep trying to find a good used one at the junk yard (no luck yet), spend $800-$1000 on two new aftermarket ones and adapter brackets, or maybe my friends on the forum have better options....

 

93...hmm well I don't think zj seats will fit. Surely you can find seats from a 92-94(?) in a local yard. Even if they look terrible you could get them recovered for a whole lot less than $800

 

Your seat bracket may be broke. It's even cheaper if you know anyone or can get it welded back in place.

 

The pan in the bottom of the seat is cracked. I need a new seat or a pair of aftermarket,

 

Great luck for me! I found a guy parting out his XJ on Craigslist today and got a seat for $20. It's all installed and works perfect. The best $20 I ever spent.

 

Covers come off easy. So you can use factory cover.

 

This^^. Grab a cushion/pan from a passenger seat and install it. It's insanely simple to do.
