'93 Cherokee 2.5L 4x4 Help Wanted
Hi. We have a '93 XJ with a 3" Rough Country lift and that's all we've done to it (other than gauges). We have 2 questions that would like help with.
First, we have a vibration that starts at about 45-50 mph....Anything lower than that, It's okay. Just put a new U-Joint on the rear driveshaft going into the differential. Started a little while after that....Maybe the problem?
Second, with gas prices rising, we are thinking about getting an E85 kit....Are they okay to run on Cherokees? My brother's got an '89 XJ with the 4.0L....Where we live, gas is about $4.10 average, E85 is $3.49....Good Savings, I think.
EDIT: Here's a link to an E85 kit we found.... http://www.whitelightning.net/intern...rsion_Kit.html

If you mean a T-Case lowering kit? If so, then yes....My dad was just telling me that he started felling the vibe's just before we replaced the u-joint....Didn't go away after replacing it, though.
We'd still like to know about the E85. If it would work and if there are any side effects

E 85 is not safe for the older fuel systems. E 85 is very corrosive, and wil rot/rust you fuel system.
More then likely you have a tire out of balance.
