I have a 92 2 door and the driver's seat is done for. It has sever gangster lean and I'm tired of leaning all the way back. I got a great deal on a pair of 97 front seats and the hinges to make them fold forward. I have searched with little success on finding a good way to fab up a way to mount them to my 92 rails. Every thread I have come across just says fab up brackets. I'm looking for pictures of what you or someone else has done to make this swap. I know it's been done.
Thanks,
Adam

I put seats from a 99 into my MJ.
If you are over 6' tall, you will not want to build any 'adapter bracket' to adapt the 97 seat to the 92 bracket because the result will be a seat sitting very tall.
Your best bet is to use the seat, bracket, and floor brace out of a 97+. Cut the front floor brace for.the seat out of a 97+ and bolt or weld it to your floor. Mount the seat/bracket to the floor and add some metal to the underside of the floor where the rear bolts to the floor.
Make sure the 97+ seats are from a 2 door as well so they flip forward and allow you to access the back.
Thought I had a pic of the brace in my MJ, but can't seem to find it.

Yea, I'm 6' tall. I do have the hinges from a 2 door so the seats do fold forward. I have the passenger seat bracket from the 97 but not the driver. The driver side was a power seat. I have no desire for a power seat so I just left it there. I'll go home and see what I can come up with and if all else fails, I'll go find a mounting bracket for the driver side and fab up a floor mount. I was hoping not to go that route however.

I googled it with no avail. But, I did get the passenger side done tonight. I'll post pics in the morning. It was actually very simple. And it doesn't sit any higher than the original.

This is what I did. I bought a piece of 3" wide by 1/8" thick steel. I cut it into 4 sections. Marked and drilled holes to match with seat bottom. Then marked and drilled holes to match with seat bracket. It was cheap quick and simple. Total cost including seats was 80 bucks
