i have a 91 xj, all windows work, lockout works like it should, but i wanna complete disable the lockout feature for a different use. I have found power to the tan wire and yellow wire that supplys power to the rest of the windows when the lockout is not engaged. The problem that I'm having now is that I cut the tan power wire and the yellow feed wire and hooked them out but I have no power to the driver side control. If hook up the lead back to the tan wire going to the plug I have power back to the driver side switch and the lockout no longer work, but it I switch the lockout switch I have power to the yellow wire that is no longer connected to the main circuit. What am I doing wrong?
I'll post up pictures when I get up to see if anyone can see what I`m doing wrong or if it even possible to do what I want to do.
The only thing I can see is the tan wire supplies voltage to the master control thru the lock unlock switch. Other then adding power to another pin there is no other way to bypass it easier.
It's pretty much the same thing for the pre 97, but I wanted to eliminate the switch completely, by using for completely different feature. But I think I figured it out since I couldn't find a wiring diagram that actually showed what I needed to do.
