Looking for your reviews on replacement seats for 1989 or so XJ. Highway and offroad. Checked the Corbeau's but the adapter bracket does not look right for clearance on drivers side. Have not heard back from Corbeau on that question. Anyone have some reviews on seats?

dont go by the pic. i run the corbeau MJ brackets and they are no where near the right ones in the pic but they bolt right in. i run the brackets with the Baja JP seats. very pleased with them.

Does it have a funky pivot seat in your 89.

Mine does and i went to put wj seats in it expecting to build brackets what i foundviscthe hole damn floor is way different so i decided to come back to that later. Since ill needvto remove carpet and do more fabbing then i had in mind.

Did you keep the stock seat belts, and if so, do they work well with the seats.

The the after market seat brackets work with the 95-2001 seat bases.
i think if older then 95 were on our own when installing after market seats.

Seems noone knows the bases changed, noones putting seats in xjs older than 95 or people talking about it get them bolted in and never share the end results

I orderd a prp daily driver suspension seat for my 89 will be fabbing my own bases or brackets. I will share the results.

There is some info burried in deep dark corners of the interweb of seats going in rocker based xjs

the seat i orderd took about 10 hours to decide on the colors and materials.

Photo of prp in a xj i found. Ill assume 95 newer since prp offers 95-2001 xj brackets.
