Default 89 to a 98

Have a possibility of buying a trail ready 89 xj apparently the xj is shot but I
Was gonna buy it and just transfer all the good parts onto my 98 xj , is there goof to any issues transferring these parts?

What do you mean by trail ready? like a 6.5 LA kit on 35's? or a 2"BB on 30's? and what did you wanna swap exactly because some parts might not fit a 98

It's has lockers a lift rack and pinion and an 8000 lbs winch

bumper and a winch or just a winch, what size lift? and does it come with rims and rubber?

I'll get specific as soon as I can but I have been told it was set up to do any trails pretty well but the owner rolled it and messed up the body but it all still runs and such

how much for it...i scrapped an xj and got 430$. for right price you could pull parts you wamt, sell some, scrap it and make money

For 1900 dollars I get an 89 xj with 4" tomkin lift 4:56 ring and pinion Dtroit locket detroit true track on frony a ramsy 8000 lb winch and bar a roof rack 33: 9:50 15 BFG mud terrans

ok, looks good, but did you plan on swapping your axle for this one? and what axle might that be?

talking to a mechanic that helped build it, he says the axel should be the same as mine but I have yet to verify that.

I mean if you have the same axle, you might as well just do a swap for the lockers, but if their different, well then it's useless to you

yeah I agree, but on the other hand the winch and bar and tires and lift would still be worth it, expense wise

yes, but keep in mind everything is used. how old is the lift? was it wheeled hard? I mean there's alot to put into play and at $1900, you don't have alot of play with parting it out.

So new plan is that I may just keepers 89 as my wheeling jeep and the other as my daily
