Default 8.8 swap and gear questions

I have a 99 cherokee with 251k on it. I have a chrysler 8.25 in the rear of the jeep, and a HP dana 30 that I think might have a bearing on its way out in it. I want to regear the jeep to to make it a little easier on the old 4.0 in the jeep even though its running great. I can get a ford 8.8 at a local wrecking yard for 119.99 that has 4.10s and disk breaks and another wreaking yard has a hp dana 30 with 4.10 gears in it. Would the 4.10s make a difference thats noticeable? I have an auto with 3.55s and its on 31s now but I would like to go to 33 or 35 in the very near future.

With 33-35s you'd want 4.56 or 4.88 with an auto. Do it right the first time to save money.

Yea I'm kinda thinking just regearing my hp30 and 8.25 I can get the gears and master kits for $522. My buddy went to school and is a tech so he can help regear my axles so I would just have the parts money in it.

The 4.10s with 31s would be good. 33s wouldn't be as bad as with stock gears. I'd say for what you would have in the two axles it wouldn't be horrible. Then you could regear down the line.

How much longer will you have 31s is the real question? If you're gonna have em a while them grab the JY axles and have fun.

Found a great deal on a set of 33x15.5x15" TSL's so I might be picking them up tomorrow I'm just really worried they might be to wide.
