Default 8.5" shocks

I'm looking for front shocks for my 98 Cherokee with 8.5" of lift. I measured today and the extended length needs to be about 30", I found a pair of Rusty's that will work but after doing some research I think its best that I stay away from them. I've checked several other brands and have been unable to find a long enough shock. I have Skyjacker on the rear but I couldn't find any from them that are long enough for the front. Any recommendations?

I was just gonna say the same thing! Serious Offroad has Bilstein shocks that are that long, but you will need stem adapters to make them work.

I was thinking about lowering it, but the leaf packs I bought from a guy on Craigslist are about 8", I guess it was an add a leaf that he made. He told me it was only 6", now I'm trying to make the front level with the rear and I don't want to get different leafs.

look into iron rock offroad they carry doetsch shocks that are for a 8" lift. They have a life time warranty and are suppose to flex good.

I'll look into those from iron rock, and I'll take some pics tomorrow.
I had a friend help with the lift, does this coil spring look like its installed correctly? When I jack the jeep up and the front tire is off the ground it's pretty lose. It looks like its supposed to go up a little more

is it seated in the cup correctly? I put in my 8.5 rusty's springs I had to jack it way up and put a jack stand under the frame and then take the tire off and push the axle to the ground before my coil would loosen up. need to see a picture with that whole side of the suspension.

I spy stock steering. At 8" of lift, that's no good.

And are those short arms?? You definitely need to go lower

It was on a lift when they were installed, that's how they look now when I jacked it up today.
And I'll be getting long arms soon

No that coil looks like poo. The short arms are pulling your front axle back under the Jeep at a terrible. Any wobble with that huge track bar drop?

Oh and your bumpstop towers are hacked the **** off. If you get your flecks on that coil is coming out. You need to do a few things before you drive it again much less offroad and have someone else limp you around.

I wouldn't even consider going out with you and your Jeep like that.
