Default 784 upgrade question

I just got some 784 injectors that I want to install soon. From reading the threads on here i have a general idea of how to do it. My only question is how would I go about depressurizing or bleeding the fuel line so fuel doesnt leak all over the place while im switching the injectors out

on the fuel rail there will be a fitting with a cap on it for testing purpose put a small rag under it and push the tip in slowly

Fuel will still leak out all over the place. Have several rags and a container to catch it. If you take the last injector in the rail out first and let it drain it will drain a good amount of it right there. I then took the front one out and the rest drained from there.

what's been said is the way to go. Use the test fitting to bleed some of the pressure. From there remove the injector on one end of the rail with something under the opening to catch the fuel then slowly remove the injector on the other end. Easiest way to do it and as long as your careful you won't spill anything.

X2. when ever i do any intake work or anything that requires the the fuel rail to be removed, or fuel filter change, i just pull the fuel pump fuse and let it die out.

someone pmed me already about a set for $60 shipped too but he said he put them on his '90 which makes me think their 703 and from my understanding only 784 will fit the 2000

You are correct. The 703's will NOT work on a 2000. 703's use what's called an EV1 electrical connection, whereas the 784's use an EV6. The only way he could run 784's in his '90 would be by splicing the EV6 connections in as well.

OEJ - No problem. You should have no later than Friday.
