With a sye you'll need a custom driveshaft... 100%....at 6 inches No doubt about it you'll need a sye tho...

Why go with that much lift in the first place...?

Just curious....
I was thinking about this lift cause the guy only wanted 450 for everything there and I figured it was a good price maybe for 6 inches considering but reading all theses post it seems like I should just stick with my original plan of 4.5

Quote: I believe he is thinking about cutting off the axle C's and rotating them for proper caster and driveline angle. Usually not a need on stock axles and that lift height. You also CAN NOT just simply flip a passenger side axle to drivers side. Tires would rotate backwards.

You dont need an expensive customer driveline to run an SYE. Pick up an SYE for 170 bucks then kit the junk yard and pull a stock front driveline out of another cherokee. Measure your needed length then check the lengths of the drivelines you are looking at. Different transmissions and 2 door verse 4 door have come with different length drivelines.

You will want at the minimum, control arm drop brackets because your control arms are going to be at a horrible angle. I personally would suggest a long arm upgrade kit, 3 or 4 link is best.

You really need to upgrade your steering if you expect to do anything with the rig besides cruise around on pavement and even for that the minimum would be a drop pitman arm. At that height I would suggest skip the drop pitman arm and go strait for over the knuckle crossover steering. Pair that with an over the axle track bar and you are set for the hardest of wheelin.

Tell us more about this "6" kit" that you found. Price? Manufacturer? There might be something out there more complete and cheaper in the long run.
