Why? Whats the difference dd'ing on 33's or 35's? I dd my jeep on 37's is it going to explode or something?
You will definitely want to do gears, and you will need a SYE. Even with a t-case drop, thats too much lift to get the joint angles even close.

The weight of the tires and gas milage. What I'm saying it's not a practical dd. can you do it? Yes but your visit at the pump will be ridiculous and I'm just going to assume all the things youll need with 35s ( gears, axles, sye + install) will be more than what the OP would want to spend

Running 35's with 4.5"lift. D44 in the back and d30 with chromoly. Im enjoying my 4:10 gears off and on the road. I wouldn't chance a stock d35 for the rear, 35's are heavy! Dont forget to upgrade your steering, surely helps! Do what you want, but do it right as the others have said.

You know what happens when you assume, right?

My daily driver has 33s, and I plan to go bigger. Much bigger.

You want a 'practical' daily driver, you shouldn't be driving a lifted 4x4 with oversize tires in the first place. Thats an oxymoron.

Go get a Prius if you want practicality.

Prius is a tad excessive for practicality but for a lifted 4x4 typically for a dd ur average jeeper would run 33s

Well to the original OP of you'd like to get a decent lift for 1500 the sye and front driveshaft for about 250, new tires for ~800 assuming your getting just 4 gears for your front and rear axles 300 and hopefully you don't have a d35 to where gearing ur axles would be pointless. And that's if you do all the labor your looking at almost 3000 and again that's if you do the labor yourself if not your prob looking at atleast another 700 but again do what you want that's why I'm saying "more" practical

nobody mentioned steering as well. you will need to upgrade your steering with that much lift and that big of tire.

Mine ungeared on 33s still gets 14+ in some of the hilliest country in the country. Hell I am currently DD'ing my ranger with 38.5s getting 16MPG. Gearing makes up for a lot.

See that one is pushing it. I couldn't see 35s pulling that off.
